Early morning accident claims one man’s life

Twenty-three year old Kent Smith is Barbados’ ninth road fatality.
The accident occurred early this morning around 1:15 along Bourbon Road, St Lucy.
Smith, of Upper Carlton, St James, lost control of the car he was driving. According to details in a police press statement sent out early today by police public relations officer Inspector David Welch, the car ended up in a watercourse. Smith was the only occupant in the car.
Smith, a soldier in the Barbados Defence Force, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance. He died on arrival. (CM)
