Entertainer David Mavado Brooks was today offered station bail after being formally charged over a weekend skirmish at a St Ann nightclub.
He is booked to appear in court on June 9.
Mavado, who was detained with nine members of his entourage, was charged with malicious destruction of property over the incident which happened at the Jamaica Jamaica club Saturday night.
His manager, Julian Griffiths Jones, was charged with assault.
The altercation was said to have been over payment due to Mavado for performing at the club.
“We will be there for him when he goes to court. It is apparent that it seems to be a misunderstanding where Mavado and Griffiths Jones is concerned. I’m sure it will be resolved,” attorney Chris Tavares-Finson said.
Bail was set at JAM$50,000 for each man. (Jamaica Observer)
