Denis Kellman, Member of Parliament for St. Lucy was sworn in as acting Minister of the Environment, Water Resources earlier today.
He took the oath before Governor General Sir Clifford Husbands at Government House. Witnessing the ceremony was also his wife, Paulevette and son Paul St. Elmo.
After the swearing in, Kellman spoke of party unity and the importance of giving Government the necessary support to ensure its stability and success.
“I am a private sector person entering the public sector where I am looking to make the two gel successfully,” Kellman stated.
He said his postion as Caricom Ambassador would remain until the Prime Minister Fruendel Stuart dictates otherwise.
