Red flag warns sea bathers

A section of Surfside  beach in Hometown St James was declared a no sea bathing zone today.
The NCC lifeguard on duty said they erected a red flag early this morning. He said the flag will be up til this evening around 6.
The lifeguard was busy directing sea bathers to the safe section of the beach .
On Thursday and Friday there was a marine bulletin in effect advising that the surf around the coast lines will be high and advising sea bathers to stay clear of the beaches. The bulletin was issued by the Met Office. (CM)
