Hours after Member of Parliament for St Michael South East Santia Bradshaw broke the news of her breast cancer diagnosis, constituents made it clear that “she is still our girl”.

With a unified voice, across the constituency they threw their support behind their representative in an outpouring of compassion.

“I felt very bad because I had the experience of [knowing] someone who died with breast cancer; my mum died with breast cancer and it was really shocking,” Leroy Scantlebury told the NATION on Monday at Sweet Spot Bar in Mount Friendship.

“I love Santia. She is a very pleasant young lady, so I wish her the best and hope she would put her life in God’s hands,” he added. (AD)
