The Barbadian?love affair with chicken is legendary, with Bajans not skipping an opportunity to land a piece of chicken, no matter how it is prepared.
But with chicken prices rising, it seems more Barbadians are returning to raising their own chickens to feed themselves.
It was no surprise then on Wednesday when a new batch of chicks arrived at a Bridgetown poultry outlet that scores of people turned up to purchase them.
With Christmas just over seven weeks away, these poults will be just the right size for the oven or pot for that special meal on that blessed day.
