Through Her Lens is the title of a photography exhibition currently under way at Gallery NuEdge Fine Arts Limited, Limegrove Lifestyle Centre, Holetown, St James, by Canadian artist Amel Chamandy.
The exhibition which runs until January 9 is the most recent work of Chamandy and is tastefully packaged to make you want to both view and purchase her nicely framed photographs which are said to capture daily life of Barbados.
Featuring scenes that portray different aspects of island life, Chamandy uses long shadows and highlighted textures to create a unique palette which references thought and theme.
Hailing from Montreal, Chamandy has been using her creative mind since age 15. Her influences include studies in Art History and Restoration with expression that favours genres of sculpture, design and free-play photography.
Visit Limegrove Lifestyle Centre and view the wonders of Chamandy’s creations up close and personal.
