This will be?an important year for left-handed middle order batsman Jonathan Carter in regional cricket.
The 25-year-old stroke-maker will be looking to rebound from a disappointing Caribbean Twenty20 and rediscover last year’s form when he was the leading batsman for Barbados in the Regional 4-Day Championship with 504 runs.
Carter is yet to score a first-class century, having been dismissed twice for 99.
When Barbados begin their campaign against Jamaica at Kensington Oval in the Super50 tomorrow, followed by the opening first-class match against the five-time defending champs from Saturday to Tuesday, the versatile Carter will be looking to get among the runs from early.
