The Ministry of Health is taking a tough stance on food handling at public events.
In fact, as of next year people will not be allowed to set up stalls at Agrofest unless they have proof that they attended a food vendors workshop which focuses on food handling.
That warning was issued yesterday to stall holders attending a workshop at The Dining Club, Newton, Christ Church, ahead of the February 22 to 24 agricultural exhibition in Queen’s Park.
Colin Browne, who went through the dos and don’ts of food handling, gave the vendors some tips on how to avoid being shut down or having their food seized and destroyed. (YB)
