BARBADIANS ARE SLOWLY but surely heeding the call to get fit and healthy, said Minister of Health Donville Inniss.
“It is a gradual process but I am very satisfied we are making inroads,” he said on Saturday during the fifth annual Fitness Fair, held by the National Task Force On Physical Activity and Exercise and the Ministry of Health at Browne’s Beach.
Inniss said the message of living healthy lives was reaching “those it is supposed to reach” as communities were responding.
“We are seeing more dance clubs [groups] in operation; almost every weekend you can see both the young and old in dance clubs,” he said. (CA)
