Looks like another presidential incumbent is being made to answer for a recession of sorts.
Barbados Football Association head Ronald Jones has been officially put on notice, as Ricky “Laker” Williams declared his intent to take his talents from the arena to administration by throwing his hat into the ring for the sport’s upcoming September 30 elections.
The 62-year-old Deacons coach announced his decision to contest football’s top post in a WEEKEND NATION exclusive just one day after Barbados dropped to 175 in the FIFA rankings – the country’s worst ever rating.
“Nothing is happening in football right now and I feel I have something to offer,” said Williams of his decision to run for president.
