BARTENDERS ACROSS THE ISLAND can once again benefit from the Angostura Mixmaster Challenge, which is now in its third year, and an upcoming training seminar.
Angostura Limited, in association with B&B Distribution, which has been the local distributor of Angostura products for six years, will be hosting the competition on Thursday, September 6.
“The competition is open to all bartenders and aspiring bartenders, and they will be required to submit their recipes with their application,” said B&B sales analyst Shari Boyce. “These recipes will be screened and prejudged by our competition judging panel [and] 12 of the best bartenders will be selected to participate.”
Boyce added: “The bartender who emerges as the winner of the competition will win US$1 000 and the opportunity to represent Barbados at the regional round of the competition, which will be held in Antigua this October.”
Bartenders can also sharpen their skills at a training seminar on Saturday, September 8. The Angostura Mixology Masters Series will be hosting a bartenders training seminar featuring David Delaney Jr, who was the winner of the Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge 2012 held in Trinidad.
“This training seminar is open to all bartenders and aspiring bartenders who are desirous of expanding their knowledge in cocktail making using Angostura bitters and rums,” explained Boyce. (PR)
