Come Monday, August 20, the Passport Section of the Barbados Immigration Department will relocate to the new offices at the Princess Alice Corporate Centre on the Princess Alice Highway.

Citizens of Barbados applying for the renewal of passports or new passports, and those persons collecting completed passports, may visit the ground floor of the new location from that date.

They are, however, urged to make an appointment to do so by visiting www.immigration.gov.bb. The public may also email the Passports Section at passports.immigration@barbados.gov.bb for more information, or contact the department at 535-4100, 535-4150 or 535-4129.

Meanwhile, Chief Immigration Officer, Wayne Marshall, has advised members of the public visiting the Department’s new headquarters that parking will not be permitted in the former BTI multi-storey car park in the initial stages.

He explained that during the transition period, the parking facility will undergo functional enhancements to serve both the public and staff.

However, it is anticipated that the public parking facility will be open by mid-October. (BGIS)
