Former sexton of St Thomas Parish Church, Darnley DaCosta Sealy, lost his life along Bennetts Road, St Thomas, just over four years ago.
Last Thursday, the man who was driving the vehicle which struck Sealy, stood in the dock of the No. 5 Supreme Court and pleaded guilty to dangerous driving before Justice Maureen Crane-Scott.
That driver was Lyle Robinson, of St James.
The court heard from Director of Public Prosecutions, Charles Leacock, QC, that around 4 a.m. on April 4, 2010, Sealy was riding his bicycle to his place of worship. The car which Robinson was driving collided with the back of the bicycle.
Sealy, then 79, was severely injured and died later that same day at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. (SD)
