There is a new over-the-counter homeopathic medication available to help in the treatment of cancer.
The medication, called Vidatox, was launched on Thursday at Lewis Drug Mart, Hastings, Christ Church.
Radiologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Dr Shazad Mohamed, said the adjunct therapy drug was coming at an opportune time as he was “very concerned” about the rising cases of cancer in Barbados.
“We are seeing a rise in the number of cases of cancer in Barbados, throughout genders and age groups. There could be a number of factors involved – such as industrialisation or diet – and I am very much concerned.
“We need more research into these factors and along with medication like Vidatox we can see how best we can deal with the problem,” he said. (CA)
