Newly appointed Chief Justice of Barbados, Marston Gibson, is back on home soil. A Rhodes Scholar with a degree from Oxford University, Gibson, 57, returned home yesterday afternoon and is staying with relatives in Prior View Heights, St. James. He will take up his appointment ton Thursday, September 1. Gibson will hear cases and be the top administrator of the court system in Barbados. His title is technically chief judge of the High Court, which is the country’s top trial court, and president of the Court of Appeal, which hears the first appeal of cases. (MK)
