A minibus has overturned in the Mullins/Gibbes, St Peter area, police have confirmed.
Initial reports indicate 16 people were injured in the accident which occurred just before 4 p.m.
There is a mass casualty situation ensuing with a number of passengers attempting to get out of the bus and seek medical help.
Motorists may experience some difficulty in navigating the road as authorities deal with the situation.
