BAMP, QEH board talks break down

Talks between the Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners (BAMP) and the board of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital broke down earlier today.After a meeting lasting two and a half hours, QEH chairman Reverend Guy Hewitt said BAMP had acted in “absolute bad faith”Earlier, BAMP had suspended industrial action at the QEH, Psychiatric and Geriatric Hospitals.A statement from the doctors says the action remains suspended to facilitate a proposed meeting with the Minister of Health and the hospital board.BAMP, in the statement, stresses its commitment to the public to continue its role in the delivery of health care.
