Looking for dad

Tracia Phillips had never gone home a single night and not found her dad Anthony Lokey.
That all changed last week Wednesday night when the 35-year-old returned home with her husband and two children after enjoying a gospel concert and did not see Lokey.
It was after 9 o’clock and she knew immediately that something had to be wrong, for it did not fit within the routine the retired 65-year-old maintenance worker of the University of the West Indies followed.
Phillips said her father would sometimes take the bus and go to either Bridgetown or Speightstown, St Peter, for the ride or he would go to the beach at Bathsheba, St Joseph, Martin’s Bay, St John, or Miami Beach in Christ Church, or the occasional Q In The Community. She said he would always return to their St Philip home by early afternoon, because he did not like to be in Town, in particular, when the schoolchildren were out for the day.
The unusual absence is becoming increasingly worrisome for Phillips and Lokey’s other four offspring, and it is also taking a toll on his older siblings.
It is made more dire because of the fact that he would have gone without his diabetes and heart medications for the entire time. He showed no sign of dementia or any other mental illnesses, Phillips said.
Lokey celebrates his 66th birthday on Saturday, and while it is not usual for Phillips and the family to make a big fuss about it because he is not the type, it will be a big celebration if he is returned home safely on or before then.
