FORMER HEAD of the Civil Service Avril Gollop has passed away.
Gollop, 72, the first female Cabinet Secretary in Barbados, died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital yesterday where she had been detained for the past three weeks.
She is survived by widower William “Billy” Gollop, children Warren and Gayle, as well as two grandchildren and her brother Bruce Hackett. (ES)
