Q: Are you where you’ve always wanted to be?
A: I always strive to accomplish more in life so when I attain a level that I had set, I set another and work toward achieving that.
Q: What is your biggest professional challenge?
A: Managing in this recessionary period. It is very restrictive; however, it forces me to be more creative and prudent.
Q: What is your biggest life challenge?
A: Living a balanced life and keeping healthy. I spend too many hours working and not enough relaxing.
Q: When you look to the future, what do you see?
A: Massive changes in the way we live, process information and relate to each other due to the rapid evolution of technology. As I said to someone recently, “privacy” will soon become an obsolete word or its meaning will be very different from what we know it to be today.
Q: What is your favourite pastime?
A: I have two: reading books and doing research on the Internet.
Q: What is your favourite meal?
A: I am not a big lover of food but I enjoy a tasty plate of pudding and souse on Saturdays.
Q: On Saturday nights where are you likely to be?
A: In bed with a book or on the computer.
Q: What upsets you the most?
A: People who are quick to judge and criticise others before trying to understand what may have caused a person to act or behave a certain way.
Q: What is your guiding philosophy?
A: I have learned that prayer is powerful and when faced with any type of situation, I make it a practice to pray. Prayer does move mountains.
Q: If you had the chance to manage Barbados for a day, what would you do?
A: I would leave it to the experts. Running a country is too complex to even contemplate trying to manage it for just a day.
