HEROES SQUARE and its environs became  a sea of red last night, as the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) finally managed  to get its much anticipated mass meeting under way.
The large crowd extended onto the nearby boardwalk and down Broad Street, taking up every available vantage point to hear  a line-up of speakers that included former Prime Minister Owen Arthur, Deputy Opposition Leader Dale Marshall,  Mia Mottley, Reverend Joseph Atherley, Jeffrey Bostic, Noel Lynch, Jerome Walcott and Senator Kerrie Symmonds.
They all came on stage to the strains  of a new BLP campaign song by calypsonian Serenader called Freundel Must Go.
Atherley, Bostic and Lynch kept the central theme of Time’s Up Freundel going throughout their speeches. (RMB)
