Deeply shocking yet

LEARNING OF THE DEATH of Prime Minister David Thompson, though I was aware of his struggle with illness, was nevertheless deeply shocking and saddening.

Prime Minister Thompson had a great appreciation of and affinity with Barbadians and Caribbean people in the diaspora, particularly in Britain.

I would therefore like to extend my condolences, as one of many Barbadians living and working abroad, to the people of Barbados in general and specifically to the family of Prime Minister Thompson.

CHARLES CRICHLOW, President, National Black Police Association, UK
