Shooting leaves Ivy folk uneasy

A?BOLD?daylight robbery at a tyre repair shop at 7th Avenue, The Ivy, St Michael, on Thursday has left several residents in a state of unease.
Junior Clarke, 37, of Workhall, St Philip, who went to the shop to have a tyre repaired, was shot twice in the back and robbed of two gold chains in front of shocked residents who were hanging out at a nearby house.
The incident took place at 10:45 a.m. A young woman, who did not want to be identified, said she saw two men with hoods over their faces walk out from behind the tyre shop with guns in their hands.
“They walked past the man who was working at the tyre shop and walked straight up to the other man and told him to lie down. They then shot him twice in the back and snatched his chains from around his neck and ran off. People started running for their lives,” she stated. (MB)
