Still going by looks

LOOKS ARE STILL the utmost deciding factor in judgement in Barbados.

Most would remember the case of the unkempt prospective customer years ago who went to buy a truck, but was ignored by the salesman because of his looks.

But he had the cash. So he went to another dealership and bought the truck there.

When the company that turned him down learned of it, it fired its silly salesman.

Still, that perception and attitude persist today.

How can we improve and get through these perilous economic times with unfair non-developmental exclusions? We should take a leaf out of the United States’ book.
