AMIDST THE intense debate between the parties regarding a contract or absence of the same at the National Housing Corporation, I would like to ask the following questions about the houses at Coverley, Christ Church.
• What is the total area of land on which each house stands?
• What is the price per square foot of that land?
• What is the square footage of each house?
• What is the price per square foot of these houses which I observe are constructed of concrete slabs?
• Does the price of these houses exceed the $175 per square foot for houses built of blocks?
• And finally, why are these slabs preferred when skilled artisans and hardworking labourers at the National Housing Corporation (NHC) are apparently prepared to build houses?
I ask these questions not out of mischief but rather out of ignorance and a desire to know and be enlightened.
