VERY RECENTLY, Argentina has “in-lawed”, so to speak, gay marriages. This follows some states in the United States and elsewhere.
These couples have the same constitutional rights as regular, normal marriages. So will there be washroom facilities for gays or will they be accepted in the female washrooms?
You can’t separate who is for a female washroom and who is for a male washroom, unless one is given wife status and the other, husband status, with clothes to match.
Would the “wife” be accepted at a gynaecology clinic? Would “she” also have the same protection as females in domestic abuse and redress.
And who is to say who is wife and who is husband or are they categorised as just gay – no female or no male.They can adopt like normal marriages.
So what’s going to happen in divorce and child custody? Wife or husband status will have to be established and differentiated.
Well, there will be no paternity testing. But what is the world coming to? I hope that this does not come to Barbados soon nor never.
