WITH A cellphone a child can call its parents, the police, and so on, if need be.
He or she doesn’t have to look for a pay-phone or ask for a phone call – for that may be too late in the event of a crime or attempted crime on him or her.
What if he or she is locked in a room accidentally or purposely or injured, stricken and alone? A cellphone can save a child’s life from danger.
The mobile provider through its GPS system can track a child’s calls and location if need be. With all these plusses, the mere fact that a child can access or make-up pornographic material, to my mind, is not enough to ban cellphones in schools.
In an exam room – yes! But not generally. Porn is easily accessible outside of a cellphone. I say no to banning them in schools.
