What is being done about the snails?

I AM TRULY SORRY for all the victims of the BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.

The whole ugly situation reflects the arrogance and disconnect of bad corporate giants who do not face reality and truth until pressure is brought to bear and they have to beg to “get their lives back”.

BP’s style is much like our leaders’ approach to the African snail plague: Expect some divine intervention by the people to take care of it.

When last have there been blistering campaigns and appeals to the public to continue the drive, and what is being done by Government?

Government needs to organise a structured drive – burning, perhaps chain gangs of the guests at their $700 million residence, those performing community service etc., to help address this problem.

What did the United States do to eradicate the snails? What have others done? We are far too complacent about this.

These creatures tend to be out and about when it is wet and cool like in the early morning, when people are rushing to beat the snail pace traffic and get off to school and work. So five days of the week are gone.

The remaining two are usually busy times for catching up on shopping, cleaning, church, rest, recreation, and so on.

The snails are multiplying, getting larger and larger, and are taking control. The young, the old, the sick and those going abroad cannot go into the gullies or join the fight.
