Normally we do not publicly respond to people who send in details in response to pen pal requests, but we’re doing so today because we want to emphasise what this service is about.
As a public service, we confidentially pass people’s contact details to the individual who writes in asking to be listed as a penpal.
This is possibly the only forum available in Barbados that adults have to anonymously meet each other.
Through the years a number of lasting friendships have been formed and, we have been told, some marriages.
That we have been able to play this small part in bringing people together gives us tremendous satisfaction, and it is certainly one of the reasons why this column has continued to be a favourite through the years.
As such, we want to encourage people to continue reaching out to meet others through this column.
We can assure that we will continue to put you in touch with someone who you may be able to develop a lasting bond with. Thank you.
