The Barbados Government and the Caribbean Tourism Organisation rolled out the red carpet for the chief executive officer of British Airways, Willie Walsh, yesterday with bright weather helping in painting a picture perfect setting for the arrival of BA 2155 just after 2 p.m.
He was met by Nigel Blackett, district manager of Barbados, Antigua, Grenada and St Kitts; Hugh Riley; Andrew Cox, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism; David Rice, president and CEO of the BTA; and Corthwright Marshall, tourism director of Antigua and Barbuda and outgoing chairman of CTO board of directors.
