Christ Church Foundation School continues to benefit from the generosity of past students, and during the week Dr Gershon Williams celebrated his 25th year of giving back to his alma mater by making a presentation of sporting gear and other pieces of equipment.
Speaking to the lower school during morning assembly, Williams spoke of the wonderful opportunity which he enjoyed at Foundation Boys’ School during a period when poor black Barbadians could not enjoy secondary education.
The cricket and netball teams which have been achieving great success over the years received bats, balls, gloves and bibs.
Also attending the presentation was Minister of Education Ronald Jones, who spoke of the sporting accomplishments of the Foundation School in producing West Indies players like Joel Garner and Anderson Cummins.  Jones exhorted the principal to produce more Test players who were in great need by the region.
