All eyes on Ryan Brathwaite

With a coveted place in the final of the men’s 110 metres hurdles at the London 2012 Olympic Games on the line, Barbadian Ryan Brathwaite will race in the second semi-final tomorrow. As it was in the first round, Brathwaite is in the same heat as Aries Merritt, the American who has the fastest time of 12.93 seconds this year. Brathwaite is in lane four, Briton Andrew Turner in six and Merritt in seven. Jamaican Richard Phillips is in lane one. That race will run at 2:23 p.m.  Heat one, which will run eight minutes earlier, will see Trinidadian Wayne Davis in lane one, up against world champion Jason Richardson and Cuban Orlando Ortega. Cuba’s Dayron Robles, the Olympic champion, is in the third and final heat. He is in lane seven and Jamaica’s Hansle Parchment is in five. The top two in each heat and the next two fastest on time willl line up for the final at 4:15 p.m. (SAT)
