16 vie for junior monarch titles

After a keen contest at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre last night, eight juniors in the seven to 12 category and eight seniors in the 13 to 18 segment will vie for the Scotiabank Junior Calypso Monarch titles on July 21.

Among them are two pairs of siblings, sisters Sakara and Princess Make’da and former Junior Monarch Dynamo and his sister Miracle.

KCB, Browne Star, Joshua B, Just Kari, Master Kei, Mighty Bit Bit, Star Diamond,  and Sakara are the seven to 12 finalists. Newcomers Dazzle and Xavi both students of Hilda Skeene Primary, are the reserves. 

The 13 to 18 finalists are: Dynamo, Quon, Miracle, De Overcomer, Princess Make’da, former Junior Monarch Raanan, Symar and Yahandje while The Mighty King is the reserve. (GBM)
