Silver lining

The Kiwanis Club Silver Dollar drive got into full gear this morning in Bridgetown to raise money for its eight needy charities.
Dozens of Barbadians took a moment from their Sunday rituals to pass by and donate money, or even stop and place down their own silver dollars on the route.The popular event which has seen contributions growing over the years, is aiming to reach $120 000 this year, so that each charity can be given $15 000 to help with providing essential care for those special children in those various organisations.
