How would you define your personal style?I would have to say spontaneous. When I am going out I don’t really think much about how I am going to dress. I normally chose the outfit at the last minute. It just comes to me depending on my mood and the occasion. I like to put pieces together to get the right look and feel. Do you find that you follow fashion trends or do you play by your own rules?I definitely play by my own rules. I never check for what is in fashion. If it is something that would look good on me then I would wear it but only for that reason.  Has your fashion sense changed over the years or remained the same?It has changed drastically . . . various times. In my teen years I was very tomboyish and used to wear baggy pants and T-Shirts. I evolved to midriff tops and mini skirts. Now I’m into a more grown up look. Still youthful and sexy but more grown.  Are there any colours that you tend to shy away from, and if so why?No. I love colour actually. It not only shows in my way of dress but the way I dress my dancers for performances. Colour shows youth and spunk. It also makes a statement. As a child were you always into clothes or did you grow into your own fashion sense?I was never into clothes, but as I got into the pageantry and fashion world, I eventually started to appreciate my body and wear more flattering outfits. How does your day-to-day life factor into your wardrobe choices?I had an office job where it was required to wear a black uniform most of the time but now I opt for more semi-formal business wear.
Are there any designers that you like to wear or whose clothing stands out with you?I don’t really follow fashion like that but I like Jewel Shannon’s designs. Her stuff for this year’s Fashion Week were fantastic. I also like Guess as well.
