LIAT has cancelled flights to and from St Kitts for the rest of the day due to the weather conditions associated with Tropical Storm Rafael.
A statement from the regional airline stated that on several occasions throughout the day, the Robert L. Bradshaw Airport was closed by the local authorities due to low visibility and strong cross winds.
The release also noted that LI 512 from Antigua to St Kitts to St Maarten to Tortola has also been cancelled due to the expected deterioration of the weather conditions this evening as Tropical Storm Rafael passes through the Virgin Islands.
