Postal rates are going up from Wednesday.
Inland postage will cost 65 cents (up from 50 cents) for each piece of mail weighing up to 20 grams. Local mail weighing 21 to 100 grams will cost $1.40 each.
Mail for the blind will continue to be free.
For more information on the changes as they relate to specific destinations or categories of mail, customers are advised to contact Customer Service at the General Post Office at 436-1801 or 436-4800, or district or parish Post Offices.
