Today, MIDWEEKSPORT presents the Top 30 batting and bowling performances from the 2011 Barbados Cricket Association season.
Based on the scores called in to The Nation Sports Desk on match days, almost 100 hundreds were scored, but only former Barbados captain Ryan Hinds of ICBL Empire was able to make an elusive double century.
Hinds, who scored 696 runs at an average of 87, made 208 against TeleBarbados Carlton, 127 against Guardian General Youth and 123 against Banks.
Alvin Gibson of Ipswich had the best bowling figures in an innings with nine wickets for 34 runs against Barbados Workers’ Union.
However, it was another Empire player, Jomel Warrican, who made the most of his first Division One season at his new club with two appearances among the Top 30 bowlers.
Warrican took eight for 66 in the first innings against CGI/Sandy Crest Maple and cleaned up with eight for 32 in the second.
More than 120 hauls of six wickets or over were taken during the season, with several schoolboys also making an appearance among the best.
Look out for the Barbados Cricket League scores next week.
