Winning every match against Ireland.

That’s West Indies captain Kieron Pollard’s mission as the regional cricketers aim to white-wash underdogs Ireland in the three-match Colonial Medical Insurance One-Day International series starting with today’s day-night encounter from 1:30 p.m. at Kensington Oval.

“We will be going to try and win every single game that we step on the cricket field be it against Ireland or be it the next series,” Pollard said during Sunday’s pre-series media conference at the Desmond Haynes Oval.

“For us, the main aim in a series or like in a tournament, the first thing is to qualify for the play-offs, so our first aim is to win the series, then we think about what needs to happen,” Pollard noted. (EZS)
