Date:

Share post:

As a result of moving to Stage One of the COVID-19 National Response Plan, effective Wednesday, March 18, all elective surgeries at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) will be postponed.

Only urgent and emergency procedures will be conducted. This decision is a temporary measure to ensure the availability of critical care beds, should the need arise.

Additionally, effective Wednesday, March 18, all outpatient clinics were reduced. Patients considered to be urgent and emergent are being contacted by the Medical Records Department and given specific appointment dates and times to reduce the number of patients presenting to the outpatients’ clinics.
