Stage 3 of the Barbados National Pandemic Preparedness Plan for COVID-19 could include a national curfew.
But that would be a last resort, and only come into play if Barbadians need to be protected from themselves.
“That is something we are dreading, but we are working on it,” the Attorney General warned during an interview on the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation last night, as Government continued to update the country on the COVID-19 pandemic. There were no new positive cases yesterday, with the number remaining at 17.
“There are degrees that we are going to follow. When we get to Stage 3, and Stage 3 is when we get to a count of over 25 cases of human-to-human transmission or where there is extensive community spread, then obviously we will have to look to restrict the freedom of movement of Barbadians,” Marshall said.
