Government has reminded owners and managers of restaurants that these businesses should be closed during the curfew period.

The Emergency Management COVID-19 Curfew (No.3) Directive, 2020, states that “all private businesses and offices shall only continue their operations where the employees can work exclusively from their homes”.

In a press release, operators of these businesses were asked to note that “any person who contravenes this directive without reasonable explanation is guilty of an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of $50 000 or to imprisonment for a term of one year or to both”.

The curfew was implemented to limit the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). (BGIS)
