COVID-19 Czar Richard Carter is rubbishing claims Barbados was only able to register six straight days of no positive coronavirus infections because tests were not being conducted due to a lack of swabs.
He also said nothing was being hidden from Barbadians when it came to testing or results.
Carter yesterday stood by the testing regimen being followed by health authorities. He revealed even more testing was coming since there remained a possibility of unknown people carrying the disease.
“The facts of the matter are that between April 15 and April 21, the Best-Dos Santos Lab conducted 198 tests, which is an average of over 30 tests per day,” he told the Weekend Nation. (BA)
