The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is reminding residents of some northern districts that its station at Haymans will be taken offline on Tuesday, May 12,  between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

On Wednesday, May 13, the facility at Alleynedale will also be taken offline again between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

This work is to facilitate urgent electrical upgrades being conducted by the BWA in conjunction with the Barbados Light & Power Company Ltd. (BLPC).

On May 12, customers in St Peter, St James, St Thomas and St Andrew may be affected by low pressure or water outages as a result.

BWA said in a media release that once the work is completed, the system may take some time to fully recover.

Residents are advised to store an adequate supply of water. Tankers will also service customers in the affected districts as a temporary measure. (PR)
