A woman who was willing to take the fall for her boyfriend’s drugs was reprimanded and discharged when she appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court on May 15.
“You don’t take the rap for nobody because he will be walking about and you might be in jail and he got to bring things for you,” Magistrate Douglas Frederick told Andrea Cheryl Clarke.
Clarke, a 43-year-old hairdresser, of School Lane, Halls Road, St Michael, pleaded guilty to having cannabis in her possession after prosecutor Station Sergeant Cameron Gibbons told the court police executed a search warrant at her house and found the drugs hidden in the base of a standing fan.
The drugs weighed 7.7 grammes and had an estimated value of $39. (HLE)
