Murder accused wants case fast-tracked

A man has been charged with a murder which occurred last weekend.

Michael Anthony Brathwaite, 48, of Storey Gap, Codrington Hill, St Michael, appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court on May 28, accused of murdering Roland Francis on May 24.

He was not represented by an attorney.

“I want this fast-tracked to the High Court. I don’t want to waste no time,” Brathwaite told the court.

Magistrate Douglas Frederick remanded him to Her Majesty’s Prisons Dodds and he will reappear on June 25. (HLE)
