Barbados Optional Savings Scheme (BOSS) meetings continue today with Government and members of the education sector.
The third of six meetings got underway just after 10 a.m. at the gymnasium of the Garfield Sobers Complex, Wildey, St Michael.
This meeting is being held in collaboration with the Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados (CTUSAB), the Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU) and the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW).
Also in attendance are Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, Minister of Education Santia Bradshaw, NUPW president Akanni McDowall, NUPW acting general secretary Delcia Burke; Barbados Union of Teachers president Sean Spencer and general secretary Herbert Gittens.
CTUSAB’s president Edwin O’Neal, who is chairing the meeting, noted if there is anyone present who does not belong to the education sector, they should take full advantage of the session and ventilate all relevant queries after Government’s senior economic advisor Dr Kevin Greenidge completes his presentation.
As was done yesterday, attendees were scanned by a wall mounted scanner, hands sanitised and information recorded in case contact tracing becomes necessary. (RA)
