With all 25 players once again testing negative for the novel coronavirus, the West Indies began training for the historic bio-secure three-match Test series against England yesterday.
The 14-man squad and 11 reserves arrived in Manchester, the United Kingdom on Tuesday morning after flying from the Caribbean on a private chartered aircraft, paving the way for international cricket to resume.
The first Test is set to start on July 8 at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton with the remaining two in Old Trafford from July 16-20 and July 24-28.
Briefly speaking to Weekend Sport via telephone call following the first practice session, skipper Jason Holder said “the team is good and the boys are safe,” before making his way to see the team’s physio. (AGB)
