Scores are marching across Bridgetown in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
At 11 a.m. the demonstrators began at Kensington Oval, making their way to Fontabelle, Cheapside and Broad Street, St Michael.
They are chanting “I can’t breathe”, Take Your Knees off my neck”, “No Justice No Peace” and “Take Down Nelson!”.
Last week’s march was aborted and attempts to get permission for another one was denied by police.
David Denny of the Caribbean Movement for Peace and Integration wrote a letter appealing to Attorney General Dale Marshall, who gave the go-ahead. (TG)
